Nike continues to partner up with hip hop personalities to create new styles with an urban touch. Recently teaming up with dj Clark Kent and now with dj premier. As you can see the colors black with the gold threading is cool but i think they really went to the left by a leaving the nike swoosh white. Big ups to Nike anyhow for paying tribute to one of my favorite dj/producers of all time.

Here is another one of my favorites that is hard to find-the fila tennis classic-cream/red/blue. Back in the early 2000’s i happened to find them in a midtown Manhattan store. My friends who remember the 80’s release all were amazed to see that this sneaker was still available in its original style. Growing up in the Bronx, NY we were all wearing the the Adidas shell tops and later the Nike Airs. One sneaker line which was very hard to find in the late 1980s, since its production was stopped around1981, were the Adidas Top Ten. Not only were they rare but became a symbol of the hustlers choice around my neighborhood. I remember purchasing them out in Queens, NY for $30. in 1988 and people would stop me on the streets and in school asking where i had bought them. Back then the rule was you did not reveal your place of purchase or “spot”. Till this day i am waiting for Adidas to bring back the patent leather blue with the red trimming. WOW.
