One sneaker line which was  very hard to find in the late 1980s, since its production was stopped around1981,  were the Adidas Top Ten.  Not only were they rare but became a symbol of the hustlers choice around my neighborhood.  I remember purchasing them out in Queens, NY for $30. in 1988 and people would stop me on the streets and in school asking where i had bought them. Back then the rule was you did not reveal your place of purchase or &#8220;spot&#8221;. Till this day i am waiting for Adidas to bring back the patent leather blue with the red trimming. WOW.</p>
